About Me

I started taking piano lessons at the age of 8. I loved it from the beginning, and I'm so grateful my parents gave me that gift, even when I protested about practicing sometimes! When my own children came, I loved sitting at the piano with them and teaching them everything I knew. After 10 years of teaching them and seeing their success, I decided to start teaching others. I have been teaching other children and adults for over 6 years now.

I earned my bachelor's degree as a Regent's Scholar from the University of California, Irvine, with a major in Social Ecology and a minor in Education. I also completed the Royal Conservatory of Music Teaching Elementary Piano and Teaching Intermediate Piano courses.

Besides all things music, I also enjoy reading, cooking, and hiking. I have been married to my best friend, Josh, for 26 years. We have six wonderful children, two awesome children-in-law, and one precious grandbaby! My family is everything to me.
